If you love Oriental food, but want that extra bit of authenticity, then the Tavistock Thai China restaurant at the Best Western Roker Hotel is for you.We’ve spent £100,000 on an impressive major refurbishment of the restaurant (which took weeks of careful planning and hard work) and our new chef’s team are all from Thailand and the Orient.

This means we can guarantee that at Thai China, you will get the very best and most authentic Thai cuisine around, using the very freshest of ingredients.

To complete the experience, we have also brought in from the Orient a whole new team of table-waiting and front-of-house staff.

The new-look restaurant can accommodate about 110 diners, while our new cocktail bar can cater for up to 40 guests.

However, we realise that not everyone will be a Thai fan, and so almost a third of our menu is devoted to the kinds of Chinese dishes with which many guests may be more familiar.
