Best Western Roker Hotel

Designed by renowned architect John Dobson in 1842, Best Western Roker Hotel is a landmark Victorian building which retains many of its period features, despite offering modern three-star luxury.

Located close to the centre of Sunderland, and within easy reach of the city’s major attractions, including the award-winning National Glass Centre, Sunderland Football Club, the Empire Theatre and a number of large shopping centres, this stunning seaside hotel offers the perfect base for exploring the region whether you’re visiting for business, pleasure or both.

Best Western Roker Hotel offers a choice of 43 stylish bedrooms, ranging from a standard single up to an executive sea view suite, all with tea and coffee making facilities, private telephones, en-suite bathrooms, trouser presses and satellite television and many offering breathtaking views across the North Sea and Roker Pier.

All bookings at the hotel include full English breakfast, while lunch and dinner can also be catered for in either of the hotel’s two restaurants – Tavistock Retro Italian Restaurant and Tavistock Thai China

Like the late-opening hotel bar, these restaurants cater for both residents and non-residents alike and can be hired for meetings, corporate functions and a wide range of private events, including weddings, involving anywhere up to 350 guests.
